Ariel Beesley’s WISP is a piece of MAGICK

Ariel Beesley, the uke-wielding, pixie-dusted voice-auteur of Los Angeles and NYC folk, with her bone-chilling voice of angelic derivation brings us her album WISP. Like, where did she come from? Not since VU’s Maureen Tucker shyly commanded AFTER HOURS have we heard anyone, male or female, take center-stage with that track. From this inspired cover, Ariel Bees.. buzzes into your aural-space with a soft-voice never wavering but staying on target. Don’t let her voice fool you into thinking she wusses out of strong statements and lyrics. Tracks like Asleep, Boys Like You, and Kids tell a story of tha quiet girl that you never knew was as powerful as she actually is.

Look for our further coverage in the next issue of Black & Grey, Satori. For now, listen and get this digital album from Ariel Beesley’s Bandcamp today and follow @arielbees on Twitter, Instagram and wherever you see this girl. Oh, and she models too, of course of course.
